The Hydra Pools HG115 is the genuine Aqua Genie vacuum adapter plate (Aqua Genie and VACUUM ADAPTOR are molded right into the face, as shown): it covers the skimmer opening and its center port takes the vacuum hose cuff, so suction goes to the vac head instead of the open skimmer.

🚩 PRO TIP: Pull the skimmer basket out before seating the adapter plate — the plate seals over the basket well, and leaving the basket in breaks the seal and bleeds suction.
