Shipping & Delivery Policy

At Al's Cool Pool Store, we strive to get your pool equipment to you as quickly and safely as possible. Please review our shipping guidelines below.

1. Free Standard Shipping

We are proud to offer Free Shipping on most orders within the contiguous United States.

  • Small to Medium Items: Items such as small pumps, replacement parts, and accessories typically ship via UPS, FedEx, or USPS.
  • Processing Time: Orders are generally processed within 1–2 business days.
  • Delivery Time: Expect your order to arrive within 3–7 business days after processing, depending on your location.

2. Local Delivery (Long Island, NY)

Being based in Smithtown, we are proud to offer specialized Local Delivery for our neighbors across Long Island (Nassau & Suffolk County).

  • Faster Turnaround: Local orders often qualify for expedited delivery schedules.
  • Personalized Service: Our local team handles these deliveries with the care and expertise your pool equipment deserves.
  • Eligibility: If your zip code is within our local service area, you will see local delivery options at checkout.

3. Freight (LTL) Shipping Policy

Larger, heavier items (such as large filters, heaters, and complete automation systems) must ship via Freight (LTL - Less Than Truckload) to ensure they arrive undamaged.

  • Curbside Delivery: Freight deliveries are "Curbside Only." The driver will lower the item to the ground using a liftgate, but they are not responsible for moving the item into your backyard, garage, or home.
  • Delivery Appointment: The freight carrier will contact you via the phone number provided at checkout to schedule a delivery window. You must be present to inspect and sign for the delivery.
  • Inspection Requirement: Upon arrival, inspect the packaging and the product thoroughly. If there is visible damage, you must note it on the Delivery Receipt (BOL) before the driver leaves.

4. Shipping Restrictions

  • We currently only ship to the contiguous United States. We cannot ship to P.O. Boxes, APO/FPO addresses, or international locations at this time.
  • Customers are responsible for any costs associated with re-delivery or storage fees if a scheduled freight appointment is missed.

5. Order Tracking

Once your order ships, you will receive an email confirmation with a tracking number. For freight shipments, this tracking number will allow you to see which carrier is handling your delivery.
