Product Description

Hayward SP1082 Skimmer Basket Support Ring SPX1082D

The genuine Hayward SPX1082D support ring is the seat the skimmer basket rests on inside SP1082-series Auto-Skim skimmers. It holds the basket level and sealed, so water flows through the basket instead of around it. When the ring cracks or warps, the basket sits crooked and debris bypasses it on the way to the pump.

🚩 PRO TIP: If your basket rocks, sits crooked, or leaves keep slipping underneath it, check this ring before replacing the basket. A cracked or warped SPX1082D is usually the real problem, and it is the cheaper fix.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

  • What does the Hayward SPX1082D support ring do? The Hayward SPX1082D is the ring the skimmer basket rests on inside SP1082-series Auto-Skim skimmers. It keeps the basket seated and sealed so debris is caught in the basket instead of bypassing it and reaching the pump.
  • Which skimmers use the SPX1082D? The SPX1082D fits Hayward Auto-Skim models SP1082, SP1083, SP1084, SP1085, SP1086, SP10841OMR, SP10852OM, and SP10841R. The ring measures 8-9/16 in outside diameter and 6-13/16 in inside diameter.
  • Debris keeps getting past my basket. Is it the ring or the basket? Check both. If the Hayward SPX1082D support ring is cracked or warped, the basket cannot seat flat and debris slips underneath it. If the ring is sound but the basket itself is split, replace the basket (SPX1082CA) instead.
