CMP Hi-Temp Union 1.5 in MIP x 2 in Socket 21063-160-000

CMP Hi-Temp Union 1.5 in MIP x 2 in Socket 21063-160-000

Stepping a 1.5 in pump port up to a 2 in line? This CMP hi-temp self-sealing union is built for exactly that: the 1.5 in male end threads into the pump port and self-seals on its T-gasket — no Teflon tape, no pipe dope — while the 2 in socket takes the full-size line. The hi-temp Noryl body holds its seal where ordinary PVC unions soften and weep.

🚩 PRO TIP: Upsizing at the pump port is the cheapest flow upgrade on the pad — a 2 in line chokes far less than 1.5 in. Use this union on the discharge side and its 1.5 in sibling (21063-150-000) where the line stays 1.5 in.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

• What is this union for? Adapting a 1.5 in threaded equipment port (most pump suction/discharge ports) to a 2 in glued line, with a union joint that still lets the equipment be removed for service.
• Do I need Teflon tape on the threads? No. The union self-seals on its gasket/O-ring — tape and dope are not required.
• How is it different from 21063-150-000? Same hi-temp self-sealing design and 1.5 in MIP end; this one has a 2 in socket instead of 1.5 in, for stepping up to a 2 in line.
